Loan Officer Assistant – Lewis Lending Team

Job Description

As one of the top-performing teams at OVM Financial Inc., the Lewis Lending Team is currently looking for an experienced Loan Officer Assistant (LOA) that wants the support of a fine-tuned machine and the guidance to take them to the next level. The loan officer will be a pivotal role between the client/agent and the operations team, production manager, and team leader.

Objectives of this Role

  • Establish and build strong relationships with borrowers and the team’s operations partners
  • Keeps loan applications compliant and moving along the predetermined path through operations
  • Determine and address problems that may arise during the loan application process

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Coordinate customer interaction and interface with all parties involved in each individual loan
  • Guide customers through the loan process, including negotiation, terms, and conditions
  • Learn and understand rules and regulation guidelines from FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VHDA, and VA
  • Keep aware of all origination, processing, appraisal, underwriting, and closing requirements for both company and investor guidelines pertaining to both government insured and privately insured mortgages

Skills and Qualifications 

  • Minimum 2 years of LOA experience or 5 years of processing experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Knowledge of all Federal and State real estate lending regulations; must be licensed through NMLS as a Mortgage Loan Originator or have the ability to get licensed within 90 days

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer service
  • Highly detail-oriented
